Claims
CLAIMS PROCESSING
Claims sub system caters for the registration and settlement of claims with the production of statistics as one of the important end results. It provides for setting of estimates, payments of claims, recording of recoveries (through excesses etc.), stolen vehicles registration, Salvage processing and automatic recoveries from treaties. The claims subsystem thus links Underwriting, reinsurance and accounts subsystems.
CLAIM REGISTRATION
- a) Click on the Client link to access clients listing. Search and select client details
- b) On the Policy listing page select a policy for which to register a claim. This opens the policy detail page as shown below
- c) Click on the New Claim button to open Claim registration screen. The screen below is opened
- d) Confirm the policy number in the Policy No field and select an endorsement that will be used for the claim registration.
- e) Input the loss details and press the Save button to submit. On successful submission, a Claim number is automatically generated and redirects to claim processing page for further actions.
- f) Claim Processing includes:
- i. Reserve allocation per peril per item
- ii. Estimate Revision
- iii. Claim Documents upload
- iv. Appoint Claimant
- Click on button labelled Appoint claimant
- iv. Appoint Claimant
- Select the correspondent type from the drop down
- Choose the claimant name you want to appoint
- Select the corresponding liability with the liability item
- Choose bank details if they are not automatically updated
- Upon saving the claimant the appointed claimant should appear in the tab for claimant as per the screenshot below
- v. Raise Claim Requisition
Click on the button as per the screenshot below
Fill in the details detailed in the form
After submitting the form a requisition number will be generated.
Navigate to the tab claim req as per the below screenshot then click on the doc button to fill the requisition document details:
Fill in the detail for the requisition supporting documents then select a user whom you want to escalate the document to for approval
Upon submitting the form an email will be sent to the user. Notification will appear in the user’s inbox as well where they’ll need to take action on it

Click on button named claim response/dv as per the below screenshot Select the type of discharge/ letter you want to issue
Choose the person you want to escalate the dv to and click submit
User shall get a notification in their mail to inform them on taking the necessary action for approving the Discharge voucher/ letters

- xii. Re-escalate requisition
Click on the escalate button as below
Select a user to escalate to
- xiii. Authorize and approve requisition
Click on the approve button as per the screenshot below;
- Enter the payment expected date
- Select the payment mode
- Choose the debit and credit accounts
- Add some comment in the text area
- Click on the auth & approve button
STOLEN VEHICLES
Claims Registered where vehicles have been marked as Stolen are updated in this page. After a vehicle has been recovered, recovery details are updated in this section
SALVAGE ENQUIRY
- a) Click on the Salvage Enquiry link to access Salvage processing page as shown below.
- b) Click on the Create Tender button to create a tender and add vehicles in the created tender as shown below.
